Ontario

A 1 track alt country single (5m 32s) — released September 16th 2012 on Bomb Shop

Following The Woodsman EP (2011) and Rough Stones EP (2012), the new single marks a new direction, both musically and in terms of production for the band who, up to this point, have (some say) doggedly insisted on only recording entirely live. Having at last been lured towards the sonic joys of the production toy box, the result is Ontario - a more mature sounding, experimental and lush piece of work from the London based 5 piece. To mark the new direction in sound and new found love of technology, the band enlisted filmmakers Ben Collier-Marsh and Tom Fuller to produce a video based upon synesthesia.

The final product is a video that the band believe to be 'like a sexy 21st Century Jaeger induced Bohemian Rhapsody'. Check it out at http://youtu.be/ZFxfA1wR-V4

Fierce County are a rough edged, harmony infused alt-country 5 piece from London. Drawing influences from bluegrass (The Stoneman Family), 70's Southern Rock (CSN&Y) and contemporary folk and rock (Iron & Wine via Calexico, Dirty Three, Bon Iver and Phoenix) their ethos once was to record live and play anywhere, but is now to record only in warm sparkly studios and play only when asked nicely to. Recent live shows have seen the band performing at this year's Cornbury Festival, headline London's Bedford, Windmill and Gladstone venues and support the likes of Alasdair Roberts, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Jess Bryant, Ahab and Rough Fields.
