Rough Stones EP

A 5 track singer-songwriter ep (20m 3s) — released August 3rd 2012 on Bomb Shop

Rough Stones follows Fierce County's debut release for Bomb Shop, The Woodsman EP (released in September 2011 and produced by Rough Fields). Recorded live in a day, Rough Stones is a progression both musically and instrumentally for the band who have added banjo and violin to the line-up as well as a new member. The result is a more confident collection of songs than its predecessor that sees the band maturing in its songwriting whilst managing to replicate the harmony driven country performance of their well received live shows that has seen them support the likes of Lucy Wainwright Roche, Jess Bryant, Ahab and Rough Fields.

Fierce County are a rough edged, harmony infused alt-country 4 piece from London. Drawing influences from bluegrass (The Stoneman Family), 70's Southern Rock (CSN&Y) and contemporary folk and rock (First Aid Kit, Iron & Wine via Calexico, Dirty Three and Phoenix) their ethos is to record live and play anywhere.
